Have you ever considered crowdfunding a RPG project of your own via Kickstarter?
“The Rolistes Present…” gathered three amazing professionals from the British tabletop industry to discuss about their experience with successfully funded games:
- Rowan, Rook & Decard - Mary Hamilton (They/Them)
One of the three founders of the tabletop game design studio Rowan, Rook & Decard, Mary runs product management, delivery, finance, partnerships and marketing, as well as contributing to the publication of Heart, Spire, Goblin Quest and Unbound, as well as dozens of free RPGs. - Black Armada - Joshua Fox (He/Him)
Josh is one half of Black Armada Games, co-author of the award-winning game Lovecraftesque and designer of Flotsam: Adrift Amongst the Stars. Josh's latest game Last Fleet, a PBTA game about humanity's desperate flight across space from the merciless inhuman foe that destroyed their civilisation, is currently on Kickstarter. - The Role Play Haven - Garry Harper (He/Him)
Garry is a tabletop games consultant with experience working for leading tabletop industry companies such as Modiphius, Mindjammer Press, Red Scar and Games Quest. This included consulting on successful Kickstarter crowdfunding and the production of several licensed tabletop games; Robert E Howard Conan, Kung Fu Panda, Corvus Belli's Infinity, Vampire the Masquerade, Star Trek Adventures, Kings of War and Symbaroum.
As discussed, the Kickstarter campaign for Last Fleet by Josh Fox is LIVE RIGHT NOW! Please consider backing this excellent tabletop RPG inspired by the many science-fiction stories involving fleets of starship desperately trying to escape a merciless threat.
Our next Twitch panel will be titled "Tabletop Roleplaying Games As The Lusitanians Do" and will gather three RPG fans from Portugal. It will take place on Saturday February 1st from 1pm EST (6pm GMT) on the Twitch channel of The RPG Academy.
However, the best way to be updated about our future episodes and live events it to sign up to our monthly newsletter.
See you next month and in the meantime have good games.
